We are halfway through the pregnancy. We have a lot left to do, but are excited to take the time and just appreciate this time as it is. BK often will take me by complete surprise. He's a very loving and attentive partner, something i'm not use to. He will often put his hands on my barely there baby belly and wait to feel our son kick. He will make cute comments when i whine about how my body is changing and how i dread looking like a whale. He reminds me our baby is growing in there and it's good. I don't think he realizes how much i appreciate those little comments and the loving support. He reminds me the parts of my body that he loves and cuddles me as if he is the luckiest man in the world. I am very thankful for his love, especially as my body undergoes it's sixth pregnancy.
We've picked a name and the family is excited to welcome this little boy. We are slowly preparing for our home birth. This will be my 5th home birth and BK's first. He likes my CNM and they seemed to get along really well. I'm gradually putting things aside and have finished most the shopping needed for the first 6 months, though i need to grab some size 1 diapers. I have finished a few hand made baby blankets in the chevron, gray and aqua colors I've been drawn to and we will repaint the bedroom the boys will share in a few weeks. All i will need to do is finish making the curtains, which is much easier than the quilt i pieced together! Baby wont sleep in the room until he sleeps mostly though the night, but in the meantime BK's daughter uses it so it will be cute for her as well. Eventually we will be building on our property, as we will need at least 7 bedrooms to house all the kids!
