Lesson 3
This week's theme is CAT. Cat printout
The vocabulary word is claws –the sharp, curved nails on a cat’s paws.
Materials needed for the week: Workbook, flashcards, Q-tips, paint, stickers, magazines, puppets.

Do a catwalk, purr, ect.

The letter this week is the letter C.
Go over learning board – theme, vocab, shape/color, letter, number.
Recite poem/rhyme.
Give your child a printout of the (capital) letter C.
Teach your child to trace the shape of the letter C with Q-Tip painting, place on learning collage.
Point out the letter C around the playroom.
Place C stickers on learning collage.
Color activity page. Let Lyssa do her workbook.
Choose a book to read.
Shape/Color (Wednesday)
This week you will teach about the shape - diamond.
Go over learning board – theme, vocab, shape/color, letter, number.
Recite poem/rhyme.
Introduce the shape on the board.
Everyone draw diamonds.
Grab cat puppets and play with diamond shapes around the house.

Number (Thursday)
The number this week is the number 3.
Go over learning board – theme, vocab, shape/color, letter, number.
Read poem/ rhyme.
Show your child 3 objects to count, or eat 3 crackers, 3 cheerios, etc.
Show your child the written symbol (numeral) for 3 and put on your learning collage.
Add 3 stickers to your learning collage.
Draw 3 diamonds on a piece of paper and count them with your child.
Walk around your home counting 3 of many different objects.
Choose a book to read.
Sing song.

Read poem/ rhyme.

Paint cats and diamonds with qtips.
