What a doozy

Well i've been out of commission the last few days due to a lovely kidney infection. We tried everything we could holistically and to no avail. So my midwives sent me off to the OB to get a prescription and thankfully today is a new day and my back is not killing me. I laughed to dh though, because we have a joke in this house. I have yet to gain any pregnancy weight and he always says that its just being redistributed to him, since he's put on about 15. And today i told him the pain was just being redistributed to my neck, jawline and ear since i have a lovely headcold that is trying to turn into a sinus infection. Gotta love it, when it rains it pours. But thankfully the OB and midwives all said i was already on antibiotics so if i had to get sick, best time is now so i dont need to be on more again later.

So im finally on the uphill recovery after a lovely nap where i started to sweat it out with the fever. I'm relieved because its been 3 days where i've been of no use and my dirty house and stir crazy children are driving me nuts. Thankfully dh took the last 2 days off, but poor guy now is a day behind me with this nasty headcold and is miserable himself tonight.

I'm so thankful its a new year, because dh has vacation time. Otherwise we'd be screwed and i know i'd be dieing. He's really done awesome. Our dishwasher broke, so everythings had to be done by hand. My oldest has a bit of a cold, the youngest is getting over it herself. So they've both been fun and today the oldest missed school. So i handed dh my curriculum and binder with activities and he actually did a good 30 minutes of 'learning time' with the girls. I was very impressed, and they all enjoyed it! So im glad i had the binder, upset because ive been slacking and not on the comp much so havent been able to work on the following week's curriculum. . . but its nice for dh to see how much the girls love it and for him to see what its doing for them. He's totally supportive and said he wishes we would win the lottery so we could homeschool every day and travel. Love that man.

Well, im off to rest my weary eyes and put the rice sock on my cheekbone to try to get some relief.
